Applications

From materials used in renewable energy systems to the development of high-performance battery storage systems for electronic vehicles and materials aiding in oil and gas production, look to Mitsubishi Chemical for high-performance solutions for Energy production and storage.

The renewable energy markets are continuing to grow in the Americas and globally, and Mitsubishi Chemical is integrally involved with development of high performance and lightweight materials to foster the growth of this market. Our products include carbon fiber composites used in windmill blades, photovoltaic materials for solar cells and materials used for the production of ethanol.

Automotive exhaust is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, which is negatively affecting the environment and the planet Earth. At Mitsubishi Chemical we are dedicated to fostering growth of energy-efficient electric automobiles through the development of battery storage materials, including formulated electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, primary lithium batteries and aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Use of temporary polymeric diverters to enhance well stimulation in tight shale formulations is well understood. The industry standard solution requires temperatures of 160F or above to fully degrade. Degradation rate is problematic at lower temperatures and incomplete degradation can foul production equipment. At Mitsubishi Chemical we have developed a temporary diverter with the Nichigo G-Polymer® that allows for effective diversion and fully dissolves at these low temperatures.
