Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: JeanMarc Gilson) has been recognized as a global leader in sustainable water management and has been awarded a position on this year’s Water A List, the highest rating in the CDP Water Security 2021.
CDP is an international non-governmental organization that collects and discloses information on environmental initiatives. In collaboration with institutional investors, the NGO conducts surveys on initiatives taken by companies throughout the world for water resources management and climate change, aiming to achieve a sustainable society. The Water A List is comprised of 118 companies out of a total of 12,000 surveyed around the world. In Japan, 37 companies, including MCHC, have been placed on the list.
MCHC believes the selection resulted mainly from its contributions to addressing the world’s water resource issues through its products and services and its efforts to make effective use of water resources during business operation.
With the aim of fulfilling the Group’s vision of realizing KAITEKI, which it defines as “the sustainable well-being of people, society and our planet Earth, transcending time and generations,” the MCHC Group continually provides solutions for issues facing people, society, and the Earth, while offering value to society based on the Group’s collective capabilities.
